Grace Holmes

Envision Bono of U2 hanging out with Sarah McLachlan and then Janis Joplin stops in for a visit, this is what Grace Holmes brings to the stage. Explosive, powerful vocals that reach into the depth of the soul with nice hints of softness. For 6 years Grace lived in Los Angeles, CA. She played a wide array of venues. Including the exclusive Temple Bar in Santa Monica and the House of Blues and The Knitting Factory on Sunset Strip. She played to packed audiences, even having the honor of opening for Fishbone, a national touring act. Her mother was diagnosed with and later succumbed to lung cancer. So she returned to her semi-native Eugene, Oregon. Originally she comes from Santa Cruz, CA and Portland, OR, with some of her youth also spent in Eugene, OR. Since arriving, she has had the privilege of playing around with some great local bands and solo acts. She released her widely anticipated new album "Love Will Find A Way" on October 4, 2013. This album is a follow up to her previous release "In the Name of Love" and "People Get Ready". She also released 2 EP's, "Then I See Your Face" and "It's All Over". The "Then I See Your Face" EP's title track has been featured in a film featuring Academy Award Winner Louis Gossett Jr directed by Varda Hardy, titled "Window." It has been played in festivals all over the world, won various awards, and was featured on a special tv program in the Los Angeles area. So look out for Grace coming to your town. She's currently pursuing a tour to promote her new and old work. That's it for now folks, don't forget to have a beautiful day!
